The Pantry - Marmande Tomatoes II

Handmade individual ceramic Marmande Tomatoes are fixed in place in a handcrafted distressed chalky white wood box frame for wall display. Coloured slips and many glazes glazes used in a painterly manner. I'm particularly pleased with how the variety and richness of colours in this piece has turned out. These were inspired by the Mediterranean markets I've visited displaying their various tomato varieties used in their cuisine.
