Wildflower Garden Splashback

My customer loves her garden and wild flowers, she makes the most beautiful and creative dried flower wreaths and wall art.  She commissioned me to make a colourful splashback to reflect her love and passion for flowers and to complement her lovely cornflower blue Aga she had installed. There are around 20 different glazes in these ceramic tiles. I painted with quick and expressive brushstrokes and letting the kiln work the magic mixing and melting the glazes forming interesting shapes and colours. When the sun shines through the kitchen window the colours of the glazes sparkle and delight.
